Position Summary

The University of Southern Indiana is accepting applications for a Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) Data and Evaluation Manager.

This position is responsible for evaluating the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program, ensuring that federal evaluation and reporting requirements are met, and leading internal evaluation. This position will collaborate with USI departments and external partners to develop data collection tools and implement the evaluation in accordance with USI Institutional Research Board, Deaconess Research Oversight and Privacy Committee, and US DHHS evaluation policy and standards.

This is a federally funded grant position through June 30, 2026; funding for each subsequent year up to June 30, 2029, are contingent on satisfactory progress and continuation from HRSA. 

Duties/Responsibilities 

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing evaluation data collection processes that capture federal reporting requirements at participant and program levels
  • Auditing data quality and improving evaluation processes
  • Managing quarterly funder progress reports on grant milestones
  • Leading Annual Performance Reporting and its inputting in the federal reporting database
  • Working closely with the Institutional Analytics Office to secure data
  • Collaborating with the Project Director to respond to governmental informational requests
  • Taking part in technical assistance meetings, the national evaluation special interest group, and funder meetings as needed
  • Store and label annual datasets on KCNHP/GWEP network
  • Managing IRB and Deaconess Research Institute application processes

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Masters-prepared in health administration, social sciences, public administration, evaluation, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of applied evaluation research methodology.
  • Strong survey research methods skills.
  • Experience with data collection, data management, analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of human subjects research protections.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with statistical software applications.

Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements

  • Standard work house are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Occasional irregular hours may be required
  • Occasional travel in and out of state may be required
