Department Summary The University of North Texas College of Pharmacy (UNTCP) is inviting applications for an Assistant Professor - Internal Medicine faculty position in the Department of Pharmacotherapy. This individual will serve as a College of Pharmacy faculty member who will enhance the UNTHSC vision and mission, while making meaningful contributions to the profession of pharmacy and the community |
Position Overview The University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC) at Fort Worth College of Pharmacy (HSCCP) is inviting applications for a faculty position in the Department of Pharmacotherapy. This individual will serve as a College of Pharmacy faculty member who will enhance the UNTHSC vision and mission, while making meaningful contributions to the profession of pharmacy and the community. Located at the UNTHSC campus in Fort Worth, the College of Pharmacy joined colleges/schools of Osteopathic Medicine, Public Health, Health Professions, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Nursing in 2013. The SCP graduated its first class and received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in 2017. |
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have graduated from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program with Doctor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and be eligible to practice pharmacy in Texas. Applicants must have completed a post-graduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy practice residency training program or have three years of internal medicine/acute care patient-related experience. At the rank of Assistant Professor, the applicant must have zero to five (0-5) years of academic or clinical experience. |

Preferred Qualifications It is preferred that the applicants have completed a post-graduate year two (PGY2) program in an acute care specialty such as internal medicine or pharmacotherapy, similar fellowship training, or five years of academic/clinical experience. |
Required License/Registration/Certifications Texas Pharmacists License or acquisition of Texas Pharmacist License within three (3) months of hire |
