Department Summary The College of Public Health (CPH) at The University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC) seeks applications to fill a full-time assistant professor non-tenure track faculty in the Department of Population & Community Health. This 12-month, promotion-track appointment with a primary focus on community-engaged scholarship, teaching and learning aligns with the new strategic plan of the School of Public Health – IMPACT 2030. The new strategic plan aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the U.S. Healthy People 2030 plan, and HSC’s Whole Health initiative, reflecting our commitment to transformative education, engaged scholarship, social accountability, a community-centered approach and global relevance. |
Position Overview The College of Public Health (CPH) at The University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC) seeks applications to fill a full-time assistant professor non-tenure track faculty in the Department of Population & Community Health. This 12-month, non-tenure track appointment with a primary focus on community-engaged scholarship, teaching and learning aligns with the new strategic plan of the School of Public Health – IMPACT 2030. The new strategic plan aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the U.S. Healthy People 2030 plan, and HSC’s Whole Health initiative, reflecting our commitment to transformative education, engaged scholarship, social accountability, a community-centered approach and global relevance. The candidate should have an earned doctorate with a focus on community engaged research, evaluation, and assessment; as well as MPH competency development through coursework and applied practice experience.
