Position Overview This role involves preparing, cooking, and serving food, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring a high standard of customer service. Whether working in a cafeteria, campus cafe, or catering for campus events, the food service worker contributes to creating a positive dining experience for the campus community. |
Minimum Qualifications Six months of general work experience. |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to maintain records and complete forms accurately. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to complete tasks (example: collecting cash and making change). Knowledge of the care and use of food service equipment and kitchen utensils. Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation and service and necessary precautionary measures. Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed. |
