Position Overview The Assistant Vice President of Donor Relations and Advancement Services serves as a member of advancement executive leadership team, creating and implementing strategies that will enhance the Universities fundraising and engagement efforts. The AVP maintains UNT Policy related to university advancement, coordinates Public Information Requests (PIR), coordinates the SACS accreditation process, manages all UNT System Board of Regents Board Order submissions related to university advancement, manages gift acceptance and review including the gift documentation processes, is responsible for the timely submission of all official fundraising reports to IEP, VSE< USNWR, CAE and other reports requested by the President and the UNT System Board of Regents. The AVP manages the executive director of advancement services who oversees Advancement’s development database system (Blackbaud NXT). |
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and ten years of professional experience in fundraising, donor relations, public relations, or sales; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Extensive experience in a higher education environment, creating and implementing fundraising strategies for donor relations and stewardship, special events, data management, data integrity, data analysis, data reporting, lifelong learning and community engagement. |
Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate would have previous proven successful management experience in a higher education advancement organization as the Executive Director, Department Director, or similar where the organization was at least similar in size and structure to the University Advancement organization at UNT. |

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm; Typical 40-hour work week with possible flex-time schedule and hybrid work opportunities. Nights and weekends, plus some overnight travel, will be necessary. |
