Position Overview

The University of North Texas Retail Dining Service is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented non-student hourly employee with cash handling experience. Responsibilities include training cashiers, enforcing cash handling procedures, verifying and rebuilding cash banks,
reconciling petty cash and deposits, and supporting daily office operations. The ideal candidate must be able to stay focused in a busy environment and ensure compliance with office rules and standards.

Minimum Qualifications

The preferred candidate will meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Prior cash office experience (preferred)
  • Strong math, organizational, and communication skills
  • At least 2 years of cash handling experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the
    work of others.
  • Ability to keep records, to assemble and organize data, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize assignments and tasks.
  • Ability to work on confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
