Position Overview The Mechanical Engineering (ME) Department at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty opening at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the area of Mechatronics, Automation, and Intelligent Control Systems to support the continued growth of the Mechanical Engineering Department. This position emphasizes teaching, research and service, with a workload distribution of 30% teaching, 50% research and 20% service. Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, recruitment and supervision of graduate students, the development of an actively funded research program of the highest quality and impact, and service to the university and to the professional community. |
Minimum Qualifications All applicants must have a Doctoral Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a closely related field. |
Preferred Qualifications 1. Postdoctoral research experience or equivalent industry experience. |
