Position Overview

This Program Manager will provide instrumental support to the portfolio of the Associate Dean for Community Engagement and Health Equity. The position will report to the Associate Dean and be responsible for supervising Graduate Research Assistants, as well as coordinating activities and maintaining positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, and community members. The position will provide program management for the MPH Practice Experience (managing the internal and external preparation courses, recruiting and managing relationships with host sites, and assisting with onboarding); Community Corps implementation (recruitment and communications, planning, evaluation, liaison, database management); operational monitoring and management (purchases, contracts, scopes of work, vendor agreements); and other duties associated with the ADCEHE portfolio as they emerge.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and four (4) years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Ability to be organized, work with deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with external and internal individuals (community members, administrators, faculty, staff, students)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree and two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in technology tools to promote community engagement and dissemination, including Canva or related document development tools; PowerBI, Tableau or related data visualization tools; project management tools such as Monday.com and
  • Teams applications; integrated communication and database systems (e.g., Constant Contact).
  • Proficiency in productivity software programs such as Qualtrics, Microsoft 365 (particularly Excel), OneDrive, Creative ADOBE, and DocuSign

Job Duties:

  • Monitors and maintains Canvas courses related to preparing students for practice experience internships and community partners for hosting students. Ensures materials are up to date and clearly communicated. Responds to requests for information and assistance. 
  • Manages matching process to include survey administration, use of qualitative and quantitative data for matching, coordination of brief interview process, rating/ranking, final recommendations, and all communication to students and potential site supervisors to ensure continuity, clarity, fairness, and successful results. 
  • Monitors and maintains individual and organizational registry of Community Corps members. Coordinates and plans Governance Committee meetings, ensures alignment of activities with bylaws, coordinates integration of Community Corps components in the College of Public Health, assists with planning and implementation of training, evaluation, develops public-facing communications highlighting Community Corps activities, supports faculty utilization of the Community Corps registry, supports assignment of Community Corps members to committees and related College processes. 
  • Responsible for project management task monitoring and completion 
  • Responsible for coordination of internal and external project partner activities to ensure timely progress towards goals and objectives 
  • Maintains collaborative working relationships with HSC and CPH staff, faculty, and students; external vendors, and community partners. 
  • Oversees graduate student assistants 
  • Assists with establishing contracts and MOUs to support the IMPACT 2030 strategic plan. 
  • Monitors and maintains a good record of third-party vendors/suppliers, requisitions, and payments
  • Provides support and coordination for evaluation activities, including IRB protocols when necessary.
  • Develops written content for web distribution

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., occasional afterhours and weekends.
