Department Summary The UNT Career Center is the centralized career office responsible for the career development and employment of all UNT students and alumni. It has responsibility for all Student Employment, Internships, and Post-Graduate Employment of UNT students. |
Position Overview The Career Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Scheduling Events Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Work with employers to arrange on campus interview (OCI) schedules and information sessions/tables, including outreach to employers in our job board. Work with Career Center staff and UNT faculty to establish successful OCI practices. Host OCI events in collaboration with UNT faculty. Troubleshoot problems that occur on OCIs with employers or students. Assist with coordination and scheduling or campus events/programs (Career Fairs; Job Fairs, Etiquette Dinners, Expos, etc.) that involve members of the business community, government departments, nonprofit organizations, etc. |
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field and two years' of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Bachelors degree in hospitality, marketing, or related field, and 2 years of experience with event planning and coordination, especially job/career fairs. Some experience in sales/customer service is preferred. Must be comfortable speaking with corporate executives. Knowledge of career services and university rules/regulations. Experience with speaking to small and large audiences. Experience with interview scheduling software (Handshake or similar). |
