University Centers and Events (UCE), provides quality programs, services, and facilities that enhance the educational experience and create a community for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. Position Overview The purpose of this position is to serve an executive role in the administration of the University Union, responsible for all social, recreational, and educational programming and art development, which includes, but is not limited to, the University Program Council (UPC), Fine Art Series, the Art Gallery, the Union Arts Center and the Center for Student Affairs at Discovery Park. |
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related field and five years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High level of attention to detail, initiative and customer service. Knowledge of event etiquette and protocol. Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changes and multitask. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Competent in Microsoft office. Ability to establish effective working relationships across the university and with outside vendors. |
Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree and five years of programming experience including large scale events. Experience with budget preparation and management. Strong supervisory skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Student development background |
