Department Summary

The Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Recreation has over 1,300 undergraduate majors and 100 graduate students (MS and PhD) across several specializations including sport and exercise psychology, exercise physiology, and sport pedagogy; PhD students are trained through collaborative programs with other UNT departments. Research facilities include the Sport and Exercise Psychophysiology Laboratory, Behavioral Neuroscience Research Laboratory, Sport Physical Activity and Health Laboratory, Applied Physiology Laboratory, Physical Activity and Psychomotor Learning Laboratory, and Integrated Metabolism and Disease Prevention Laboratory.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. Position Overview

This is a 9-month non-tenure track position with the potential for renewal based on departmental needs and availability of funds. This role will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Kinesiology.

Minimum Qualifications

Earned doctoral degree in Kinesiology, exercise physiology, or closely related area.
Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Kinesiology.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching at the collegiate level. Ability to teach exercise physiology and related courses.
