Department Summary This position impacts the entire undergraduate population and is not affiliated with a single department. The College of Music enrolls approximately 1,500 music majors, with two-thirds being undergraduate students. |

Position Overview The position will involve teaching MUGC 4890, Studies in Music, which is a new course designed for Pre-Music students. Pre-Music students have not been admitted as a music major. The expectation is to provide the students in this course information about becoming a music major and options for alternative majors at UNT. |

Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in Music. |

Preferred Qualifications Doctorate preferred; experience teaching at the college level; an understanding of working with FTIC students who are exploring potential majors. |
