Position Overview

The Senior College Recruiter will recruit undergraduate students for the Ryan College of Business, build relationships with prospective students and their parents, and support university initiatives for recruitment. This position will work collaboratively with faculty/staff in the Ryan College of Business and other departments on campus to ensure prospective students receive pertinent information and quality programming to encourage their matriculation to UNT.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and three years' of experience in recruiting, academic advising, academic counseling, student services, or related experience or can substitute education for experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong presentation skills and problem-solving skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Experience with Microsoft Office Products. Good driving record and access to a vehicle. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Professional in appearance, motivated, self-directed, and have the ability and willingness to communicate enthusiastically with diverse populations in a positive, courteous, and professional manner. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Advising and/or recruitment experience in higher education, a Master's degree in Business or Higher Education, and an undergraduate degree from UNT or knowledgeable about the UNT undergraduate experience.

Required License/Registration/Certifications

 

Job Duties:

  • Develop cutting-edge recruitment initiatives for Ryan College of Business (RCOB). 
  • Lead strategy and oversight of all RCOB recruitment activities, including the coordination of RCOB faculty and staff participation in recruitment events. 
  • Collaborate with UNT Admissions to ensure RCOB presence at recruitment events. 
  • Stay current on all UNT admissions and financial aid processes. 
  • Stay current on all RCOB degree programs. 
  • Meet with and advise all prospective students/families. 
  • Oversee Student Ambassador program and the RCOB Mentor program. 
  • Partner with Athletics, Honors, UNT Frisco, and other UNT departments as needed. 
  • Oversee RCOB Tours and supervise the Recruitment Student Assistant. 
  • Serve as the RCOB point of contact for prospective student groups and maintain records of all points of contact with prospective student groups. 
  • Create and send prospective and admitted student communications. 
  • Build relationships with high schools and community colleges to create a pipeline for admission into the RCOB. 
  • Participate in other RCOB Student Success Team initiatives as needed, as well as university-wide recruitment committees as needed.

Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with occasional nights and weekends.
