Department Summary

The University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth is one of the three higher education institutions of the University of North Texas (UNT) System, with the UNT at Denton and the UNT at Dallas as two other higher education institutions. Position Overview

The selected candidate will support the Program Director across a range of public health research initiatives. This position will be responsible for conducting research and data programming for data cleaning and statistical analysis, as well as overseeing evaluation activities, including the collection and interpretation of process, outcome, and impact data. The incumbent will manage large datasets in areas such as primary care, cancer, infectious diseases (with emphasis on HIV and viral hepatitis), rural and community health, and tele-mentoring. This position will also prepare federal reports and contribute to presentations and peer-reviewed publications.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Public Health or related field and five (5) years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Software programs including Stata, SPSS, EpiInfo, NVivo
  • Supervisory skills
  • Application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods

Job Duties

  • Conduct research to collect, record, analyze, and evaluate qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and prepare reports and summaries of findings.
  • Prepare analytical components for grant proposals, conference abstracts, and peer-reviewed manuscripts. 
  • Manage data integrity, organization, and security processes.
  • Support administrative tasks and coordination across all projects.
  • Organize and update evaluation assessments, surveys, and related research documentation.

  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
