Position Overview

The Assistant Director for Admissions, Recruitment, and Outreach plays a critical role in driving graduate enrollment growth for the Graduate Programs Office in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business. The position manages lead generation and engagement, supports applicants through all stages of the admissions funnel, and executes recruitment and marketing strategies to increase inquiries, applications, and enrollments. This role also supervises staff supporting admissions processing and provides strategic support to the Director of Recruitment and Corporate Outreach.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

*Previous Admissions Office experience.
* Thorough knowledge of recruitment and admissions practices within a higher education setting.
* Thorough knowledge and experience working with a wide range of students.
* Ability to develop recruitment programs, create effective materials, and effectively plan and coordinate group events.
* Ability to work collaboratively and support prospective students, community, constituents, staff, faculty, and other parties connected to this position.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA and previous recruitment and admissions experience at the master’s level.

Job Duties

  • Recruitment: Develops and implements new recruitment and outreach initiatives to attract prospective graduate students. Coordinates and participates in recruitment events (webinars, information sessions, graduate fairs, campus visits). Manages the prospect pipeline by generating leads, maintaining contact, and tracking engagement. Serves as a primary liaison to prospects and applicants, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Admissions: Supervises two part-time staff supporting admissions processing and data management. Helps oversee the admissions funnel from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring timely communication and conversion support. Tracks and reports data to identify trends and support continuous process improvement. Collaborates with college leadership to improve application completion and admitted-to-enrolled yield. 
  • Marketing & Outreach: Executes marketing campaigns, including email, digital, and social media outreach, to promote graduate programs. Creates and manages communication content to engage prospective students at all stages of the admissions cycle. Partners with the Director and communications staff to ensure consistent branding and messaging across materials. 
  • Director & Department Support: Provides strategic and operational support to the Director of Recruitment and Corporate Outreach. Assists in executing the annual recruitment and marketing plan, as well as college-wide initiatives. Represents the Graduate Programs Office in cross-departmental committees and initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Manages the Graduate Programs Office M&O and master’s program fee accounts. Prepares budget reports and tracks expenses to support strategic allocation of resources. Coordinates purchasing and reimbursement processes in compliance with university policy.
