Department Summary UNT Dallas athletics supports 6 intercollegiate sports. The department is a member of the NAIA as well as the Sooner Athletic Conference. Its administrators, staff, coaches and students follow the 5 core values of the NAIA including respect, responsibility, integrity sportsmanship, and servant leadership while also following the missing of UNT Dallas. |

Position Overview The Assistant Track & Field Coach provides coaching expertise and operational support for all jump events, including high jump, long jump, triple jump, and pole vault. This role supports student-athlete development while advancing the mission, values, and competitive goals of the Track & Field program. |

Minimum Qualifications 1-2 years in a collegiate athletic department setting |
|
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of all jump events, training principles, biomechanics, and safety protocols. They demonstrate effective coaching, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to evaluate technique, design training plans, and support athlete development. The role requires the ability to build positive relationships, uphold compliance standards, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Experience with recruiting and performance analysis tools is also beneficial. |
