Department Summary

The UNT One Stop provides holistic student support across enrollment and financial services functions within the Division of Enrollment. Our team members support students across various modalities, including in-person, telephone, and virtual services (online chat and case management). The Student Experience Representative, UNT One Stop position provides direct assistance to students, families, and customers in support of a progressive and simplified student experience. The position will guide students through processes related to admissions, enrollment, financial aid, student accounts, and financial literacy, proactively solving complex situations through direct intervention and collaboration across teams, departments, and divisions

Position Overview

The UNT One Stop provides holistic student support across enrollment and financial services functions within the Division of Enrollment. Team members serve students through multiple service modalities, including in person, telephone, and virtual platforms such as online chat and case management.

The Sr. Student and Program Coordinator provides friendly, professional, quality service to students for all aspects of enrollment student business and is expected to be committed to improving student services, providing operational excellence across all service delivery methods. This position has the lead role for advising on complex issues and problems regarding student enrollment progress, as well as financial matters and utilizing professional judgement in resolving issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong organizational skills and ability to execute multiple projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working at UNT or a similar style institution. Working knowledge of student information systems (including but not limited to PeopleSoft and SalesForce).Experience in higher education, preferably a onestop service model, financial aid, registrar, and/or student accounting. Experience working with diverse populations of students, staff and faculty desired.

Job Duties

  • Provide advanced direct assistance to students, families, and campus partners in support of a holistic and simplified student experience. Assist in day to day UNT One Stop operations to ensure that high volume enrollment related student service inquiries and requests are addressed in a timely, accurate, courteous, and helpful manner. Services may be delivered in person or through virtual pathways, including support at Denton and ancillary UNT One Stop locations at other UNT campuses. 
  • Manage complex or sensitive cases across admissions, enrollment, financial aid, student accounts, academic records, and financial literacy. Utilize established policies, procedures, knowledge base resources, and consultation with One Stop team members and/or campus partners to research solutions and coordinate cross functional resolution prior to leadership escalation. Tasks require analysis and compilation of administrative and situational data across multiple sources in order to research solutions and partner with internal and external partners to develop solutions. Services may be delivered in person or through virtual pathways, including support at Denton and ancillary UNT One Stop locations at other UNT campuses. 
  • Collaborate collegially and professionally across departments including the UNT One Stop, Student Accounting, Financial Aid, the Registrar’s Office, Admissions, and the Student Money Management Center to manage escalations, ensure process accuracy, and coordinate clear and timely communication. Coordinate proactive outreach and follow up for students with unresolved or high impact cases to ensure continuity of care and accountability through completion. 
  • Support quality assurance and continuous process improvement efforts by reviewing case documentation for accuracy and completeness, identifying recurring challenges, recommending solutions, and contributing to training materials or procedural updates that enhance the student experience. 
  • Promote a positive and student service oriented culture within and beyond the UNT One Stop. Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and respect in all interactions. Lead by example in providing outstanding support to students and encourage peers to uphold high standards of service, empathy, and accountability. Actively participate in meetings, committees, and cross functional initiatives that strengthen the student experience 
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations, including FERPA. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times and participate in ongoing professional development to remain current on policies, systems, and regulatory updates.
