Department Summary The office of Orientation and Transition Programs is a department within the Division of Student Affairs and provides new students, continuing students, and family members with the tools necessary to make a smooth transition to UNT and toward graduation. The mission of our office is to be an evolving office for students and their families that facilitates the successful transition into the UNT community by: helping them connect to the University, creating opportunities, and building relationships. Our department consists of multiple areas, including mentoring, new student programs, orientation, parent and family programs, transfer student programs, and more. |

Position Overview Work is comprised of supporting student and family transition to UNT (40%), student leader advising and support (35%), supporting learning opportunities for parents and family members (15%) and evaluating program and student learning outcomes (10%). Additional duties include, but are not limited to: |

Minimum Qualifications - Completed at least one year of a master's program in higher education, student affairs, college student personnel or a similar field |
|
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Experience advising or supervising students |
|
Preferred Qualifications No adverse environmental conditions expected. |
