Department Summary The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) is part of the University of North Texas System, which also includes UNT Denton and the UNT Health Fort Worth. UNT Dallas, which is a standalone university in southern Dallas, invites applications for a full-time, permanent Lecturer position in Biology, beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching and to participate in continued development of the UNT Dallas Department of Natural Sciences, which offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in Biology and Chemistry, and has plans to launch a Master’s degree in Applied Biotechnology in Fall 2028. We are particularly interested in student-centric, innovative, and energetic candidates who can help lead the development of UNT Dallas’s Department of Natural Sciences through program development, student recruitment, and community outreach. We seek a Biology generalist who can contribute to the Biology program by teaching a range of biology and health-related bioscience courses. Position Overview Expectations for full-time faculty at UNT Dallas include excellent teaching and service, resulting in contributions equivalent to a four-course load each semester. Faculty are also expected to participate in such service activities as curriculum development, student recruiting and mentoring, program assessment, and committee leadership. |
