Position Overview The Project Development Librarian is a member of the UNT Libraries' External Partnerships Unit in the Digital Libraries Division and provides an important outreach role to the many collaborating institutions and to users of the content of the Portal to Texas History. The Portal is a collaborative digital library with over 550 content partners from libraries, museums, archives, and other cultural heritage institutions. Every month, the 9.7 million pages of materials in the Portal are used nearly a million times by a global audience. The Portal 's content is also discoverable through the Digital Public Library of Americas. This position is in a unique position to help make a difference in the cultural heritage landscape of Texas. The librarian in this position works closely with other units in the Digital Libraries Division to explore and build partnerships among institutions for collaborative efforts, to provide reference support for Digital Collections, and to promote digital projects. The librarian works with internal and external stakeholders to plan and coordinate projects as part of the mission of the UNT Libraries. The librarian exercises broad independent judgment and authority under the direction of the Head of the External Partnerships Unit. The librarian serves on library committees and work groups as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications * Education: ALA-accredited master’s degree in library or information sciences. |
