Department Summary The University of North Texas Asset Management department plays a critical role in supporting the university’s operational efficiency and compliance. Our team is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of State of Texas defined assets, including both controlled and capital assets, ensuring accountability and stewardship of university resources. |

Position Overview This position is responsible for monitoring capital and controlled assets of the organization. It is their duty to monitor and report status of these assets from purchasing through disposal/sale/transfer. Will work collaboratively with UNT Controller Office, Asset Management, and University Budget Office. |

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. |
|
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of accepted accounting practices, legal statutes, and policy and procedure affecting financial record keeping. Thorough knowledge of cost and audit accounting. Ability to work accurately with numerical detail consistently and to perform accounting operations legibly. Ability to analyze, consolidate, and present accounting data in clear concise form. Demonstrated ability in coordinating and supervising the work of others. |
