Position Overview The Contract Analyst position within the Research Contracting team of Grants & Contracts Administration unit, is responsible for reviewing standard contract terms, identifying key provisions, and escalating non-standard or complex issues. This role develops foundational knowledge of contract principles, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies while managing assigned agreements in a high-volume environment. The Contract Analyst supports the administration of research-related agreements with a primary focus on standard, lower-risk, and non-funded agreements. This position works under the guidance of the Assistant Director and in collaboration with senior analysts to ensure agreements are processed in accordance with university policies and applicable regulations. assists with the preparation and processing of research-related agreements, including compiling and organizing contract documents and supporting materials. They also assist in basic regulatory and policy requirement review (FAR, DFAR, CFR) and elevate questions to senior staff. This role is responsible for accurate and timely entry of contract data into the Research Contracting document management system and for tracking contract status throughout the review process. This position plays a key role in supporting consistent workflow processes, accurate recordkeeping, and effective communication across the research contracting function. The Contract Analyst may also perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Research Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in contract administration, research administration, grants management, compliance, or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Understanding of contract terminology and ability to learn contract review and negotiation concepts |
