Department Summary

The mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to create transformational experiences for all UNT Health students by providing tailored support and fostering holistic development. There are 8 functional units within the Division of Student Affairs: Center for Student Life, Career Readiness Center, Center for Academic Performance, Office of Care and Civility, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, Office for Disability Access, and Student Assistance Resource Center.

Position Overview

The Project Coordinator is tasked with assisting with project management division wide. They will serve as a central hub for the recording of plan management activities and tracking project progress. These projects will be both regulatory and non-regulatory in nature. They will assist with new staff training and onboarding as a continuous divisional project. This staff member will assist with the coordination of space within the Student Services Center in support of divisional operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use a variety of complex computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of populations verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a project team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading complex projects
  • Experience navigating Federal and State regulations at the university level
  • Project Management certification

Job Duties

  • Supports the development, execution, and tracking of project plans and activities for division-wide and departmental level initiatives.
  • Assists in the management of Division of Student Affairs compliance efforts, including tracking completion of legislative requirements, management of the student complaint system, and Clery Act data management.
  • Provides support and coordination for centralized divisional hiring and on-boarding practices, including conducting phone screens, helping to manage the interview process, and coordinating initial on-boarding for new team members.
  • Provides divisional support for events and programs by submitting room reservation requests/facilities work orders, making payments and placing catering/supply orders as directed.
  • Manages the division's building operations of the Student Service Center.

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional evenings or weekends as required for divisional events.
