This tenure-track position is being offered at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching and to help lead development of the UNT Dallas Communication and Digital Media Department, which offers the B.A. degree with tracks in digital production, strategic communication, and communication studies. This new faculty member will provide leadership in developing curricula, service and experiential learning opportunities, academic and community partnerships, and internships in nonprofit, media, and for-profit sectors throughout the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. The successful candidate will be expected to help develop the Communication and Digital Media major as a premier, highly visible program at UNT Dallas. We are particularly interested in student-centric, innovative, and energetic candidates who can help lead the development of UNTD’s Communication and Digital Media Department through program development, student recruitment, and community outreach. We seek an experienced academic leader who can contribute to the Communication and Digital Media program by teaching a range of courses in mass communication, as well as other communication areas.     • Faculty Adjunct Assistant-Spring 2025 in various locations

      The appointment will be as Faculty Assistant/Adjunct Faculty to assist in teaching Client Interviewing and Counseling and/or Negotiation and Conflict Management by leading small groups of students through interviewing or negotiation simulations. Classes will be delivered in person at the UNT Dallas College of Law downtown location. Client Interviewing and Counseling sessions will meet on Thursday afternoons from 2:30-4:30 pm on starting near the end of January and concluding in late April for approximately 10 session. Negotiation and Conflict Management will meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm starting around the end of January and concluding at the end of April for approximately 10 sessions. Adjunct Faculty will work in pairs to lead/coach small groups of students through either interviewing simulations or negotiation simulations that are created and/or provided by the Assistant Professor of the Course. Adjunct Professors do not create/design any aspect of the course but are responsible for grading the simulations and coaching the students. Multiple positions may be are available for both time frames, although there are considerably more slots for the Client Interviewing and Counseling course. While preferences for courses will be considered, depending on student enrollment and the number of returning Adjunct Faculty, the number of available positions may be limited.
