Responsibilities:

• Assists with planning and coordinating the bi-weekly reading/literacy program
• Assists with research on appropriate reading materials for the elementary age group that reflect Regent University’s values.
• Assists with creating and delivering interactive reading and literacy activities for children.
• Assists with gathering and analyzing feedback from participants and parents regarding the effectiveness of the reading/literacy programs.

Requirements:

• Must be eligible for Federal Work Study
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to communicate in a clear, effective manner
• Ability to follow instructions and work with a team
• Self-motivated to complete a work schedule and follow through with tasks
• Must be able to work effectively and responsibly with children and parents
• Must have basic computer literacy
