The Transfer Credit Evaluator is primarily responsible for conducting evaluations for courses completed at other institutions to fulfill Regent University degree requirements. Transfer credit evaluators will ensure that accurate and timely evaluation of eligible credit is performed at all academic levels. This position is expected to demonstrate professionalism and extraordinary service and communication to students at Regent University.

Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA 

Essential duties:

  • Research and evaluate course equivalencies utilizing the TES evaluation system and other resources to accurately and excellently complete transfer credit and advanced standing evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge and resources on all undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs and effectively apply school transfer policies when evaluating transfer credit and advanced standing requests.
  • Perform transfer credit related data entries within student academic record systems, including Banner, with a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain currency for all transfer credit equivalency databases and student-related resources.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all incoming, current, and previous students of Regent University through professional conversations made by phone, email, chat, and face-to-face.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • One to two years of experience working in higher education setting, preferably within records management, academic services, or student success
  • Strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills with an ability to establish rapport with colleagues
  • Must be motivated, teachable, and be effective in a collaborative work environment
  • Appropriate competence and ability to be trained in technology including Banner, Customer Relation Management (CRM) systems, Microsoft Suite, Canvas, Cognos, Degree Works and phone systems
