Essential functions:
- Monitor network performance and availability using various monitoring tools
- Monitor Help Desk tickets related to networking systems and services
- Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system for future reference
- Assist in the identification and resolution of network incidents and issues
- Collaborate with senior technicians to escalate complex issues
- Participate in routine maintenance and system updates as required
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations and changes
Additional Responsibilities:
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems
- Familiarity with VMware, and backup operations
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
- Understanding of network monitoring and backup tools and methodologies
- Basic knowledge of network configuration and management
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to assist with projects outside of normal business hours
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
