What does a traineeship involve? 

The Public Sector Apprentices and Trainee Program will implement the NSW Government's commitment to employ an additional 1000 apprentices and trainees across NSW Government agencies until 30 June 2026. More information can be found here.

What traineeships do we have available? 

A Trainee will be responsible for assisting in a range of administrative and/or technical business activities. We have the following traineeships and locations available: 

▪ Certificate III in Horticulture AHC30722
Duration: 24 Months Location: Yallah & Ryde (2 Positions)

▪ Certificate III in Production Horticulture AHC30624
Duration: 24 Months Location: Wollongbar (1 Position)

▪ Certificate III in Laboratory Skills MSL30122
Duration: 24 Months Location: Ultimo (1 Position)

Can you apply if you hold a VET or higher education qualification? 

• Yes, if the VET or higher education qualification is in a different area of study to the traineeship you are applying for.  

• Yes, if your current qualification is in the same area of study but is a lower qualification level then the traineeship you are applying for.
