About the role

Join our dynamic team and take on a pivotal role supporting the Executive Director of Learning and Teaching. As a key player in our team, you'll provide high-level executive support and administrative services, ensuring the efficient operation of the Office of the Executive Director. Your dedication will drive effective communication, facilitate business activities, and always uphold TAFE NSW confidentiality standards.

The Executive Officer is responsible for the provision of a range of high-level executive, secretariat and project support services. Including providing high level advice, managing communications, and implementing strategies to support the achievement of the faculty and organisation’s strategic and operational objectives.

About You 

You will have demonstrated experience in governance or other related high-level roles from complex and/or education environment. You will also be highly organised and have excellent communication skills. Disciplined administration will be a key strength of the successful candidate.

To be successful, you will:

  • Be experienced in preparing, managing and reviewing Government and Executive briefing papers/materials, high-level communications and correspondence
  • Anticipate and address contentious issues and provide accurate advice to the Executive Director and Government on complex issues
  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will act as the point of contact for the Executive Director, collaborating and negotiating with stakeholders on a wide range of sensitive, confidential, and urgent matters.
  • Implement, monitor and report on strategic, operational and project plans to the Executive Director
  • Provide issues management and support
  • Lead and/or contribute to projects
  • Develop and oversee the implementation and evaluation of practices, systems and procedures (including the management of support officers)
  • Provide secretariat support to forums chaired by the Executive Director
