About the role 

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Light Automotive Mechanics students by joining our team of teachers for the following opportunities:

• Mount Druitt Campus – 1 x permanent full-time
• Ultimo Campus – 1 x permanent full-time

Essential Requirements:

• Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR30620), or equivalent.
• Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training (see the candidate support document (here) for details ) OR a willingness to undertake our full time 14 week 'Paid to Learn' course.
• Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience relevant to your industry.

Highly regarded but not essential:

• Hold a Certificate of proficiency showing the completion of a Light Automotive Vehicle apprenticeship.

Paid to Learn: for candidates who do not hold an appropriate VET teaching qualification or equivalent, you have the option to be paid to learn as you transition from industry to teaching with guaranteed work following successful completion of the 14 weeks Training and Assessment course.  Those who already hold the appropriate teaching qualification or equivalent are still eligible to apply.
