Life-changing impact starts with an incredible team that sees their career as an opportunity to transform someone’s world. We invest in our people

At TAFE NSW, you will discover a diverse, dynamic, and collaborative environment, where you can innovate, create value, and do meaningful work. We provide you with tools and ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs, and a variety of flexible working options.

About the role

This dynamic Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) leadership position provides strategic direction on the Institutes of Applied Technology, including operational leadership of the pilots focused on the Digital and Construction industries. The role leads an education delivery model where industry and tertiary organisations partner with TAFE NSW to deliver high-impact programs designed to meet significant industry skills needs. You will have significant influence on the operating model for the Institutes and the ability to shape the implementation of this innovative education model while leading a multidisciplinary team. Collaboration with industry and university partners is key to successfully implementing this model, which carries significant financial and reputational responsibilities.

About You

You are a visionary and strategic leader with a demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex change programs, particularly those shaped by policy considerations and government engagement. With expertise in managing multi-stream initiatives, you consistently drive measurable outcomes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Your strength lies in balancing long-term strategic objectives with day-to-day operational realities, enabling you to build scalable, collaborative solutions that serve learners, industry, and the broader community. You bring the insight and experience needed to develop robust recommendations on the future direction of the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) pilot and lead their successful implementation. A deep understanding of policy development, stakeholder engagement, and the translation of strategic vision into practical execution is essential to your approach.
