At TAFE NSW, you will discover a diverse, dynamic, and collaborative environment, where you can innovate, create value, and do meaningful work.
We provide you with tools and ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs, and depending on your role, a 35-hour working week with a variety of flexible working options.
About the role
You will play a central leadership role and be a conduit between the TAFE NSW Executive and broader organisation, external parties, and the Digital Solutions Group. You will drive the coordination and resolution of complex, high-impact matters across the Digital Solutions Group portfolio. Acting as a strategic advisor to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you’ll ensure initiatives are implemented seamlessly, delivering measurable outcomes that align with TAFE NSW’s vision and priorities.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional with experience in State government, who thrives in high-stakes, fast-paced environments that also demand strategic thinking and carefully considered outcomes. With a strong advisory lens, you’ll provide ministerial support, brief senior executives on emerging matters, contribute to committee engagements, and maintain oversight of risks, issues, and performance metrics.
You’ll bring deep expertise in change management, program governance, and stakeholder liaison ensuring that issues are addressed in a timely matter, portfolio budgets are achieved, all with maximum benefit to our customers and stakeholders. If you're passionate about integration, coordination, and making a tangible impact across a dynamic public sector organisation, this is your opportunity to lead from the centre and shape the future of digital transformation at TAFE NSW.
About You
You’re a strategic and outcomes-driven leader with a strong background in navigating complex, multi-stream initiatives, ideally within government or large-scale public sector environments. You bring sound judgement, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to make informed decisions on sensitive matters with far-reaching impact. Comfortable in dynamic settings, you balance pace with precision, delivering considered advice and measurable outcomes. You plan effectively, manage resources within policy frameworks, and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups. Your ability to lead through change, resolve challenges, and maintain alignment with organisational priorities makes you a trusted advisor.
