About the role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual with nursing qualifications and industry experience to join our team in Ultimo. This is a permanent part-time role working 17.5 hours per week.
TAFE Assessors carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus on supporting students to complete tasks, as well as identifying areas for further training. Assessors work within a team of industry professionals in an engaging environment. Successful candidates in this role will be required to support students whilst on clinical placement, with the ability and flexibility to work across a number of healthcare facilities across metropolitan Sydney.
Note: This role does not teach or deliver training.
About You
We are looking for passionate and engaged individuals who have the ability to meet the following essential requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent (minimum)
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details
- Three years post-qualification experience in the Nursing sector (minimum), gained no longer than five years ago
- Demonstrated ability to assess students against competency-based skills tasks
- Understanding of the content of learning materials and the processes used in the discipline, and a commitment to maintain professional currency
- Commitment and ability to provide feedback in an adult learning environment + motivate and encourage students
