$111,798 – $132,585 salary package - includes base salary ($98,499 – $116,813), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading pro-rata)

About the role
We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Aged Care students.
This is a permanent part-time position, working 4 days per week (24.5 hours) in our Muswellbrook campus. The specific days of work will be course dependent and may vary based on delivery requirements. Flexibility is essential, as the role also requires travel to Singleton and Cessnock to support training delivery.
As a TAFE Teacher, you will share your industry expertise and passion to help students build the skills, confidence, qualifications, and employability needed to achieve their career goals. TAFE Teachers are professional educators who help construct, guide, and enhance the learning process.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality educational programs and facilitate learning in Aged Care, enabling students to achieve strong outcomes. You will teach Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, and Medication Skillsets, providing flexible and engaging learning experiences that support student success.
You will undertake assessment and evaluation, maintain industry and teaching currency, and contribute to a supportive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that reflects best practice in vocational education and training.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Hold appropriate subject knowledge and a Bachelor of Nursing (minimum qualification) and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN).
- Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously or post-qualification experience in Aged care as a RN or EEN, gained no longer than five years ago.
- Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
- Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
