Location: Moruya Campus

Permanent Part Time Part Year – 17.5 hours per week for 41 weeks per year

$58,323 – $78,538 salary package - includes base salary ($56,191 - $69,195), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (paid pro-rata)

About the role

The Class Preparation Assistant is responsible for all hygiene and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and compliance criteria around responsible storage and disposal of food, as well as preparation of classroom commodities and food preparation and class set up.  This role also maintains par stock and equipment levels to ensure supplies are adequate to meet classroom demand and provides services to support learning outcomes.

You will not be required to hold a teaching qualification and are not required to teach or prepare lessons. You will not be required to mark assessments. 

About you 

You have demonstrated experience working ideally within the Hospitality industry. You have a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to share your industry knowledge and support our students.   

 You will have:  

  • Certificate II in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Sound knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles and safe work practices.
  • Current Responsible Services of Alcohol Certification (if required).
  • Knowledge of relevant consumables and equipment.

Highly Regarded 

  • 3 years of experience in the Commercial Cookery or Hospitality related environments.
