Senior Project Officer

Location negotiable across NSW (subject to campus availability) 

Temporary full-time (35 hours per week)

$149,973 – $165,541 salary package - includes base salary ($132,132 - $145,848), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

This is a temporary full-time opportunity until 30 June 2027. A talent pool may also be created through this recruitment.

The Education Technology Ecosystem (ETE) program is modernising how TAFE NSW supports enrolment, curriculum and student administration. It is one of the organisation’s largest and most complex business and technology changes.

As a Senior Project Officer, you will lead the planning and delivery of complex project activities within ETE, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes. You will manage scope, milestones, risks and dependencies; monitor progress, quality and benefits; and provide clear advice and reporting to support timely decisions.

You will bring people together across different areas, navigate competing priorities and address emerging issues before they affect delivery. This role suits someone with strong project judgement who can maintain a clear view of the broader program while taking responsibility for their own deliverables.

About You 

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

• A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
• Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to plan, lead and deliver complex implementation activities.
• High-level planning and analytical skills, including the ability to identify risks, understand dependencies and develop practical responses to challenges.
• Experience engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders with competing priorities.
• The ability to communicate complex project information clearly, provide sound advice and keep delivery focused on agreed outcomes.
• Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to adapt quickly as project needs change.
