K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

Joining our Supply team, this position is responsible for supporting the Logistics Team Lead & Superintendent with all K92 Mining import/export cargo movement and maintain all supply container storage yards. You will load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks to K92 mining’s set safety standards and live SOPs.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Ensure the prompt delivery of all import / export and warehouse freight.
• Set weekly and daily priorities, and to support company production targets.
• Ensure that all aspects of logistics are undertaken in accordance with established policy and procedures. Ensuring that safety is paramount to all tasks performed.
• Assist the Logistics Team with all infield bookings associated with the forklifts of all capacities and telescopic handlers, Tilt Tray trucks, Twin steer Izuzu and UD tilt tray tucks.
• Work towards the timely completion of all set daily tasks
• Able to read and maintain container lists and maintain yards accordingly to first in and out convoy loads (Staging of loads for convoy/fleet dispatch)
• Able to trouble shoot minor defects on the vehicle, forklift or telehandler being used, conduct housekeeping and perform daily machine pre – start checks.
• To report safety incidents, mechanical faults if not attended to by Mobile Maintenance & Planners.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have all or the following

• Possess current Driver’s License
• Minimum of Grade 10 PNG national certificate
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the transport/logistics industry with relevant experience within shipping, logistics and maintaining of container yards.
• Excellent understanding of Haulage trailer capacities, tie down equipment and loading techniques.
• Over 3 yrs experience on forklift operation, telehandler operation, light and heavy vehicle operation (Tilt tray experience an advantage).
• Able to speak clearly and familiar with 2 - way radio communication
• Must be safety conscious.
• Maintain all supply container yards segregating container loads and break-bulk loads to respective container categories or bin locations set by supply.
• Stage backloads for ease of loading the day before convoy arrivals / planned material movement
• Tend to Logistics infield bookings from respective departmental bookings made on our bookings site with regard to container movement or lifts able to be done with whichever designated plant at the time.
