K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. About the role

This position is responsible for the service and maintenance of Exploration Drill/Diamond Drills such as Atlas Copco and Boart Longyear Exploration Drills and other similar Exploration Equipment. You will carry out tasks as directed by the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent for the general operation of the mine maintenance, while maintaining safe working practices for subordinates plus staff working environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure efficient, safe and continuous operation of the underground mine and surface mobile fleet in achieving production targets.
• Repair and maintenance of all company under ground and surface heavy diesel equipment and machinery.
• Give direction, coaching and technical assistance to subordinates.
• Maintain stock levels and place orders as required.
• Conduct general housekeeping at work area.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Maintain safety work standards in accordance with government regulations and company policy.
• Perform all roles and responsibilities that support and reflect the company’s mission and core values. 
• Give direction, coaching and technical assistance to Trade Assistant’s and apprentice.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have a NATTB certified Trade Certificate in Heavy Equipment Fitting with 3+ years’ experience in mining environment or heavy construction industry. In addition to this, you will have

• 3 years’ experience in relative technical area
• Relevant Experience with Surface Exploration Drills
• Valid current driver’s license
• Experience with Surface Exploration Drill will be highly advantageous
• Possess certified Miner training certificate in area of handling hand drill machine
• Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Well-versed experience in mining safety management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in computer and e-mail correspondences.
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
• Strong planning, interpersonal and organizational skills
