A Digital Learning role, built for you
The Digital Learning Specialist supports the greater Built business by utilising their technical expertise to uplift learning experiences and outcomes through the design and deployment of innovative digital learning resources.
You build scalable, rich, just-in-time digital learning solutions to accelerate capability building whilst always ensuring an excellent learning experience. You will also bring thought leadership in digital learning, digital systems and digital employee engagement experiences to the team.
Some of the Digital Learning Specialist’s responsibilities include:
- Accountability for the design, deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement of Built’s onboarding experience program incorporating a ‘digital first’ approach.
- Collaborating with the L&D team to identify opportunities to effectively use digital learning to meet business requirements.
- Developing various digital learning materials in collaboration with subject matter experts to accelerate capability building according to business need.
- Being a Built Learning super-user to ensure the system is being used optimally to support the team’s learning strategy and as a source of truth for learning in the organisation.
- Facilitating the review of digital learning materials to ensure they remain fit for purpose in collaboration with subject matter experts

Key Skills & Experience
A Digital Learning Specialist should have experience in Articulate Storyline and Rise, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, instructional design, performance consulting, project management, change management, contemporary learning theory/best practices and blended learning.
Technical
- Expertise in authoring tools
- Proven understanding of contemporary learning theory/best practices with a focus on adult learning principles, generational learning trends, change management and cultural change.
- L&D digital instructional design experience and facilitation in a mid-large privately owned business (3+ years).
- Proven track record of successful end-to-end project delivery with a clear alignment to business strategy.
- Experience in designing and developing blended learning.
- Experience with the development of e-Learning resources.
Professional
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and with agility.
- Ability to effectively present, facilitate to, and influence senior leaders.
- Ability to build rapport and relationships with all levels and roles in an organisation.
- Evidences a strong attention to detail and a mindset that quality matters.
- Exceptional organisational and project management skills.
