About Built Living
Built Living is transforming the way Australia delivers medium and high-density residential developments. Backed by Built and Wesfarmers, we are creating a fully integrated development, design, manufacturing and construction platform focused on Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA), advanced manufacturing and industrialised construction. The business is targeting delivery of apartment developments at scale, supported by a state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Perth and a national growth strategy.
Who we need to help us grow
We are seeking an ambitious and technically exceptional BIM Manager to join our growing design and digital team. This is a unique opportunity to help establish the digital foundations of a new Australian housing platform, driving BIM, computational design integration, digital standards and model-based delivery across design, manufacturing and construction.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Design Leadership team, the BIM Manager will own the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Built Living's BIM framework, digital design environment and project model governance.
This is not a traditional BIM management role. We are looking for someone with a strong digital mindset who can bridge BIM, computational design, DfMA and advanced manufacturing. You will work closely with architects, engineers, digital designers, consultants, suppliers and manufacturing teams to create a seamless model-to-factory workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols and workflows across the Built Living portfolio.
- Develop and manage Revit libraries, parametric content and digital assets.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project models across consultants and project teams.
- Drive model-based collaboration between design, manufacturing and construction functions.
- Support implementation of DfMA and modular delivery methodologies.
- Integrate computational design tools into project workflows, including Rhino, Grasshopper and Rhino.Inside.Revit.
- Manage model quality, governance and digital compliance across multiple projects.
- Support innovation initiatives and identify opportunities to automate design and documentation processes.
- Mentor and develop designers and project teams in BIM best practice.
- Work closely with software vendors and technology partners to ensure Built Living remains at the forefront of digital delivery.
About You
You are likely coming from a BIM Management, Digital Engineering, Design Technology or Computational Design background and have a passion for industrialised construction, design automation and model-based delivery.
You will bring:
- Proven Revit Library Management experience, including ownership and governance of studio-wide BIM assets, management of internal intellectual property, development of standardised content libraries and coordination with suppliers to ensure consistency across projects.
- Strong BIM Management experience across multiple concurrent projects, applying standardised libraries and digital content across project portfolios while coordinating models, information exchange and documentation between consultants, internal teams and delivery partners.
- Experience establishing, maintaining and continuously improving BIM standards, protocols and technical libraries, ensuring consistency from project templates through to individual families, components and model instances.
- Advanced capability in Revit and associated digital delivery platforms, with Rhino.Inside.Revit experience considered essential
- Strong knowledge of BIM execution planning, model governance and information management, ideally aligned to ISO 19650 principles.
