The Opportunity
Join UniSC as a Web Developer and play a key role in enhancing our digital experience! You’ll drive the continual improvement of our website, ensuring an engaging and seamless journey for current and future students. Acting as a user advocate, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to deliver digital solutions that meet both user expectations and business needs. Working closely with IT services, you'll contribute to a shared vision of digital excellence, shaping the future of UniSC’s online presence through innovation and continuous improvement.

You will
- Deliver development to the University website, guided by best practice, and underpinned by strategic insights and analytics;
- Work alongside other key stakeholders to support the delivery of major and minor projects connected into the digital ecosystem; and
- Work effectively within the marketing and communications team to improve user engagement, page performance, and digital conversions.
About you
You bring a deep understanding of best practices in web development and user experience research, ensuring digital solutions align with organisational needs. Your expertise allows you to drive digital projects effectively, working collaboratively within an agile team to balance workload commitments, adhere to project timelines, and deliver impactful results. With a proactive mindset and a keen eye for innovation, you are committed to enhancing user experiences and contributing to a culture of continuous digital improvement.
You will possess:
- Completion of a relevant qualification with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience in developing complex websites for large organisations;
- Development experience with Umbraco CMS will be highly regarded. Preferred languages and technologies include C#, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular and React;
- Demonstrated experience supporting and enhancing a website that caters for complex business needs, servicing backend users and providing information for multiple customer audience segments; and
- Experience translating briefs into high-quality, responsive web pages while ensuring design accuracy, usability, and performance.
