The Opportunity

Drive meaningful student engagement as you lead strategic, data-driven communication campaigns that support conversion, transition, and success. In this dynamic role, you’ll create high-quality, timely content across multiple channels to meet the evolving needs of current students, enhancing the first-year experience, promoting access and equity, and enabling learning support. Your expertise in communication will help shape a more connected, inclusive, and successful student journey.

You will

  • oversee the development and maintenance of effective, relevant and up-to-date content across channels to support student conversion, transition, retention and success;
  • lead the planning and delivery of key projects and innovations within the student communications space;
  • provide advice and support to clients at all levels to develop, implement and review communication campaigns; and
  • contribute to the administration and management of the Student Portal (Squiz Matrix).

About you:

You’ll bring together excellent digital literacy, a user-first mindset, and sharp messaging skills to deliver clear, engaging communications across multiple channels. You enjoy digging into data and aren’t afraid to try new approaches, using your analytical and problem-solving skills to spot opportunities and drive meaningful improvements.

You can juggle tasks, stay on top of deadlines, and know what to tackle first. Your strong people skills and customer focus help you build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, all while developing skills that support future leadership and strategy growth.

You will possess

  • completion of a relevant degree in communications, marketing, projects and event administration with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • professional strategic communications experience, including stakeholder liaison, communications plan development and implementation, audience identification and management, and reporting;
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and feedback with the ability to use initiative to develop effective solutions with the customer experience front of mind; and
  • experience working with automation and personalisation tools to create tailored content experiences that enhance user engagement.
