The Opportunity

This role supports the successful delivery of clinical research at UniSC. As Project Manager, you will lead the coordination and delivery of clinical projects across assigned UniSC Clinical Trials sites, ensuring they run smoothly, efficiently and to the highest standards. Overseeing the full project lifecycle, the role brings together people, processes and resources to support successful trial outcomes. Along the way, there may be opportunities to guide and support administrative, technical or professional staff, helping foster a collaborative environment that enables high-quality research and meaningful impact for our communities.

You will

  • work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to plan, coordinate and progress clinical projects, supporting key milestones through effective communication, stakeholder engagement and strong project oversight across the UniSC Clinical Trials network;
  • contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking team culture, supporting the Senior Project Manager to strengthen consistent, well-coordinated approaches to the end-to-end delivery of clinical trials;
  • partner with investigators, clinical teams and key functional areas to support study milestones and advance the goals of UniSC Clinical Trials; and
  • support the organisation and continuous improvement of clinical project management processes, including project documentation, meetings and reporting that keep trials running smoothly.

About you

You’re comfortable coordinating complex clinical projects, balancing timelines, quality standards and regulatory requirements while keeping teams aligned and informed. With sound judgement and a proactive mindset, you identify risks early, support practical solutions and help projects stay on track.

You value collaboration and build strong relationships with investigators, clinical teams and partners across the network. Your approach is structured and solutions-focused, and you take pride in establishing clear plans, processes and tools that help teams work effectively. Most importantly, you’re motivated by the impact of clinical research and the role it plays in improving health outcomes for our communities.

You will possess:

  • A relevant postgraduate qualification in nursing, science or a related field, along with experience supporting the successful management and delivery of clinical trials, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects or multiple workstreams, balancing competing priorities, coordinating resources and working constructively through challenges.
  • Sound working knowledge of ICH/GCP and the regulatory and ethical frameworks that guide clinical trials.
  • Experience supporting the planning and delivery of clinical trials across different phases, with strong attention to regulatory, ethical and quality requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to guide, influence and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • A collaborative approach that builds trusted relationships with investigators, clinical teams and external partners.
  • A positive, solutions-focused mindset that encourages teamwork, open communication and shared progress toward project outcomes.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret information from multiple sources, navigate complexity and translate high-level information into practical project detail.
