Job Description With Manager instruction, coordinate the work of six to twelve Housekeeping workers and assist in task accomplishment of all Housekeeping requirements in all university facilities, to ensure a sanitary and safe environment. Responsible for the care, cleaning and handling of Housekeeping equipment. Operates University owned Cart; collects supplies from Warehouse and subsequently distributes supplies to staff and facilities. Assigns and retrieves keys and radios from staff at the beginning and conclusion of each shift. Essential personnel, On-Call, Evening Shift Leader designate. The Senior Worker will possess the University owned on-call phone and respond to emergencies when designated as the on-call employee. |
Required Qualifications Working knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, chemicals, methods and equipment used in an institutional environment. Demonstrated experience in understanding, following, and enforcing work instructions and safety practices. Demonstrated experience in varied communication methods and performance of basic mathematical calculations. Capacity to maintain a professional working relationship, demonstrate fairness, be decisive and maintain objectivity. |
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping. |
