Job Description This position is responsible for the coordination of a comprehensive approach to substance use prevention programming across the Radford University community. The Substance Use Prevention Coordinator (SUPC) is responsible for developing prevention strategies which include all three levels of risk: universal, selective, and indicated. The prevention programming approach should reduce specific risk factors and strengthen protective factors across the university. This position will utilize nationally identified best practices to inform the development, implementation, and evaluation of substance use/misuse events, education, support, and awareness campaigns. This position will work with the campus community as well as community partners to bring support, awareness, and education through social norms campaigns to reduce the misperceived norm concerning alcohol and other substance use behavior. This position will work closely with the Peer Recovery Coordinator and Peer Support Specialist to educate the community on substance use disorders (SUDs) and strengthen the Recovery-Themed Community. |

Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health. |
