Title: Director, Financial Success Center

Job Description

The Director of the Financial Success Center will lead the launch and growth of a newly endowed center. The Director will shape the vision, operations and impact of a center designed to improve students’ financial capability, confidence, and long-term wellbeing—while also strengthening community engagement and experiential learning opportunities. The Director will directly connect with students by teaching two courses per semester during the academic year.

The Director will bring energy, strategic thinking and a deep commitment to student success. They will be excited to design programs, build partnerships, hire, supervise, train and mentor student financial coaches, integrate financial wellness into the student experience and measure impact in meaningful ways. This role requires someone who can both think big and execute details, collaborate across campus, and translate vision into outcomes.

The Director reports to the Dean of the Davis College of Business and Economics and works closely with faculty, staff, students, advancement, enrollment management, and community partners.

Required Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in finance, economics, education or a related field; a combination of education and experience that equates to a Master's degree may be considered.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial education, student affairs or related fields.
Experience in program development, management and evaluation, preferably in a higher education setting. Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and facilitating training.

Skills: Strong understanding of financial literacy concepts and resources. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage diverse populations and foster an inclusive environment. Proficient in data analysis and program evaluation methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: Relevant certifications in financial planning or counseling (e.g., AFC, CFP) are a plus.
