Job Summary The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Colorado College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry with specialization in Computational Chemistry, to begin August 2027.

Minimum Qualifications A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field is required by the start of employment. Applications from ABD candidates who will complete their Ph.D. before August 2027 will be considered. |
|
Preferred Qualifications Broad teaching experience in chemistry, including computational chemistry. Demonstrated success in teaching using innovative and inclusive methods. Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience, including mentoring of undergraduate students. |

Required Documents Applicants must submit 1) a cover letter describing their interest in teaching in a liberal arts environment; 2) a curriculum vitae; 3) a teaching statement articulating their teaching philosophy, potential to incorporate active learning strategies on the Block Plan, and involvement in and commitment to inclusive pedagogy; 4) a research statement discussing their research interests and potential for including undergraduate students in research; and 5) undergraduate and 6) graduate transcripts (unofficial copies and screenshots are suitable for applications; the successful candidate will be required to send official transcripts).
