About Us
Colorado College (“CC”) is a private, four-year, highly selective liberal arts college of 2,100 undergraduate students and a small Master of Arts in teaching program. It is located on a 99-acre campus adjacent to downtown, ‘Olympic City’, Colorado Springs. The campus sits on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at the foot of Pikes Peak. The college operates an innovative curricular approach, known as the Block Plan, which entails students taking one course at a time for three and a half weeks, with the academic year divided into eight “blocks.” The Colorado College Department of Athletics sponsors 17 varsity programs. Fifteen programs compete at the NCAA Division III level and two at the Division I level. Division III programs are members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), with the exception of Men’s Lacrosse (independent) and Women’s Lacrosse (WIAC affiliate). Division I Men’s Hockey is a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) and Division I Women’s Soccer competes as an affiliate member of the Mountain West Conference (MWC).
Job Summary
Oversees the NCAA compliance approach for a highly competitive multi-division institution. Plans for, directs and enforces the division’s compliance with NCAA, conference, and college rules and regulations and oversees the coordination and implementation of a holistic student-athlete support program including coordinating on campus resources and strategies conducive to the academic, athletic and personal development of the student-athletes.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to strategic and day-to-day management of NCAA compliance (Division I and Division III), oversight and management of the division’s student-athlete services program, liaison to key campus offices, sport oversight, and support of areas including events, facilities and budget management.

Responsibilities
- NCAA Compliance, Governance, and Regulatory Administration:
- Serve as the department's strategic leader, educator, planner, and communicator regarding evolving NCAA and conference regulations.
- Direct and manage all aspects of NCAA compliance, including recruiting activities, student-athlete eligibility, financial aid, amateurism, and playing and practice season requirements.
- Provide timely interpretations, training, and education on NCAA, conference, and institutional policies to coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
- Oversee the administration of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and revenue-sharing programs, ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, and lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental compliance policies and procedures.
- Compile, analyze, and submit required reports to the NCAA and federal agencies.
- Student-Athlete Success and Support Services:
- Provide leadership and exceptional service in support of student-athlete success and well-being.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive student-athlete support model that connects students with campus resources and promotes academic, personal, and athletic development.
- Serve as Co-Advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and provide guidance and support to student-athletes while fostering compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA standards.
- Campus Partnerships and External Collaboration:
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key campus partners to support student-athlete success and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the department liaison to the Registrar, Advising Hub, Admissions, and Financial Aid offices to ensure institutional processes remain aligned with NCAA requirements.
- Oversee communication and strategic planning between the Admissions Office and coaching staff, and coordinate with Residential Life and Dining Services to support student-athletes during vacation and holiday break periods.
- Athletic Program Oversight and Operations:
- Provide administrative oversight and support for assigned athletic programs, ensuring effective operations, compliance, and alignment with departmental goals.
- Assist with the coordination of championship events and provide leadership and guidance to operational areas as needed to support the overall success of the department.
- Leadership, Supervision, and Budget Administration
- Provide leadership and supervision for assigned athletics department staff, including the Director of Business Operations and the Assistant Athletic Director for Operations.
- Serve as an active member of the divisional budget committee, contributing to financial planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making to advance departmental priorities and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of three years of experience in athletic administration and NCAA compliance
- Experience supervising/managing full-time employees
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to think critically and solve problems; good judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion
- Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socio-economic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other aspects of human diversity
- Budgetary and organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with initiative and minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and service leadership skills
- Proficient with computer software programs such as Word, Excel, Teams, Power Point.
- Must be willing and available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and occasional travel with designated teams.
One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education (OR) one year of relevant academic coursework beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for one year of required professional experience.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:
- $75,748 to $92,791 per year
|
|
