About the Role
This position is responsible for:

• Teaching
• Preparing, delivering, and facilitating tutorials and workshops as outlined in the curriculum for the subject each week in subject area of expertise, as agreed with the Program Manager
• Grading assignments, tests, examinations, and other assessment items as required
• Providing detailed, timely, and meaningful feedback to students
• Performing all other teaching-related duties such as preparation for scheduled hours of teaching, administration of student records and informal consultations with students

• General Duties
• Providing early learning support and referrals as needed to UTS College Student Success Advisors
• In consultation with the Academic Coordinator and Program Manager, participating in a range of professional development activities
• Attending staff and subject meetings as required
• Completing special assignments under the direction of the Program Manager as required

• Team Liaison & Collaboration
• Establishing ongoing channels of communication with Academic Coordinators, Student Success Advisors, the Program Manager and academic colleagues to ensure consistent quality of teaching
• Participating in moderation activities

About You
To succeed in this role you must have:

• A bachelor’s degree in (doctoral qualifications preferred)
• 5 years+ experience in industry practice or post graduate qualifications in Communication or a related field
• Relevant demonstrated experience of teaching in a higher education environment
• Demonstrated commitment to innovative learning and teaching practices, including a willingness to engage with contemporary approaches to content delivery including blended learning approaches
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple demands to meet deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy
• A NSW Working With Children’s Check
