Jewish Care Victoria is seeking an inspiring and skilled, Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, to take ownership of the organisation’s WHS strategy, framework and systems, ensuring a best practice approach to safety across all operations.
You will operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, partnering closely with leaders across the business to embed a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
What You Will Lead
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the design and execution of a contemporary, organisation-wide WHS framework
- Providing advice and coaching to Executive and leaders
- Developing, implementing and continuously improving WHS systems, policies and procedures
- Conducting audits and inspections to ensure compliance across multiple sites
- Leading incident investigations and driving effective corrective actions
- Proactively identifying key risks and implementing robust mitigation strategies
- Supporting WHS governance, including committees and reporting
- Designing and delivering WHS training and capability-building programs
About You
This is a senior, high-impact role requiring both strategic insight and operational excellence. You will thrive in multi-site environments and effectively engage and influence stakeholders at every level.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience in a senior WHS leadership role, ideally operating in a stand-alone capacity
- Demonstrated capability in designing, implementing and embedding WHS systems and driving cultural change
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation
- A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and deliver outcomes
